Delphia Ridley

Interim Director of External Affairs

Delphia York Ridley is a senior nonprofit consultant with a history of leading fundraising at major nonprofit organizations. Currently, Delphia is the President/CEO of A Delfi Group LLC, a boutique consulting firm specializing in nonprofit board and staff training, developing strategic fundraising plans, and executive coaching. Currently, she is on the adjunct faculty of Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

Delphia was the associate director of external affairs for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture and later became the director of advancement for Education and Access at the Smithsonian Institution. During her tenure at the Smithsonian, she and her team led efforts to raise $250 million of the $250 million appropriated by Congress to build the African American museum. Prior to the Smithsonian, Delphia was senior vice president at the national Girl Scouts in New York City, where she raised over $150 million annually. Delphia holds a law degree from the University of Denver and has served on numerous non-profit boards, including the board of trustees for her undergraduate alma mater, Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. Delphia lives in Alexandria, Virginia and works with nonprofit clients throughout North America.
