Winter Wonderland returns to The Newark Museum of Art with a joyful lineup of seasonal performances, arts and crafts, storytelling, and more.
Explore holiday traditions from different cultures, enjoy sweet treats like hot chocolate, and step back in time with guided tours of the beautifully decorated Ballantine House, showcasing 19th-century holiday customs.
Throughout the day, experience live music, dance, and theater that capture the warmth and wonder of the season.
Performance timeline:
12:30–12:45 PM – Choral Art Society Begin the day with the uplifting sounds of this talented community choir performing classic and contemporary holiday favorites.
1:00–1:25 PM – La Dance Academy Enjoy a stunning showcase blending Latin and Brazilian dance styles with classical ballet, celebrating the beauty of global movement.
2:00–2:25 PM – Carnaval Dancers Feel the rhythm and joy of Carnaval through vibrant costumes and lively dance, bringing warmth and color to the winter season.
3:00–3:45 PM – Teatro SEA: Dream of Kings Be transported by this theatrical performance filled with music, puppetry, and storytelling inspired by holiday dreams and cultural folklore
4:00–4:30 PM – Teen Step-Up Dance Performance Cheer on Newark’s youth as they light up the stage with an energetic and creative winter-themed dance performance.

Reading Sessions with Daniela Palacios Join storyteller Daniela Palacios for cozy reading sessions at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 4:00 PM, sharing heartwarming tales that celebrate kindness, imagination, and the magic of the holidays.
