Newark is home to an incredible fabric of visual and performing arts organizations, artists’ studios, festivals, public art, and a strong community of multidisciplinary artists‑local, national, and international. They continue to strengthen the cultural fabric of a community in constant growth.
The Land on which NMOA stands is part of the ancient homeland and traditional territory of the Lenape people. We pay respect to Lenape peoples past, present, and future, and their continuing presence in the homeland and throughout the Lenape diaspora.
