An evening of healing, wonder, and community
Come as you are.
This is an evening to unwind, reflect, and reconnect – with the people you love and the stories that live inside us all.
Bring the kids, your family, your friends. Throughout the night, explore illuminating themes of travel, home, memory, and belonging as reflected in our current exhibition Aminah Robinson: Journeys Home, A Visual Memoir.
The Night’s Journey:
In the Gallery
- Family-Friendly Meditation – Breathe together. Guided meditation for all ages, nestled among the works that inspire wonder.
- Exhibition Tours – Walk through Aminah Robinson’s visual universe, a world of thread, memory, and homecoming, with guided insight.
In the Court
- Junk Journal Workshop by The Eclectic Chic Boutique – Transform memories into a handmade journal — your own visual memoir, begun tonight.
- Memory Quilt Square Making by Sew Leana — Stitch a square that carries your story. These squares come together as a collective quilt.
- Music all evening by DJ Dana
- Special Performance by Jazz House Kids at 6:00 PM – Live jazz that will fill the court with pure joy. Don’t miss it.
- Stories in Every Stitch: Celebrating Aminah Robinson – A literary gathering with Melida Rodas (Poet Laureate, Founder of the Jersey City Poetry Festival), Gianna Valdez, and Sarah Ruilova, weaving poetry and reflection in honor of Aminah Robinson’s living legacy.
In the Planetarium
- Travel to Egypt – An immersive planetarium experience that echoes the night’s theme: we are all travelers finding our way home.
