We’re celebrating our founder’s birthday!

In addition to establishing The Newark Museum of Art in 1909, John Cotton Dana was also the leader of the Newark Public Library – his vision and stewardship forever changed the relevance of cultural institutions and how they engage with the public.  NMOA Librarian and Archivist Emeritus and author of Images of America: The Newark Museum of Art and The Newark Public Library, William A. Peniston, will be a giving a spirited talk and presentation on Dana’s radical legacy.
