Have you ever wondered what a work of art is trying to say?

During these exclusive Member Experiences, you and other members will be guided in artful conversation by one of our expert docents to uncover what lies beneath the surface of some of the NMOA’s most beloved pieces of art.

Since a time before women secured the right to vote, The Newark Museum of Art made history as a beneficiary of women’s leadership. Join us in the galleries to celebrate Women’s History Month by exploring some of the contributions of these trailblazing women who have charted the course of The NMOA from its founding to the present day. Following the tour, we invite members to share a memento that tells the story of an inspiring woman they’ve known. Our guides for this fascinating tour and conversation are docents Betty Brown, Ellen Greenfield, Ellen Lambert and Betsy Thomas.
