Have you ever pondered the messages conveyed by works of art?
Join us for a special Member Experience at The Newark Museum of Art where art becomes the language of discovery. In these unique sessions, members like you engage in enlightening conversations led by our knowledgeable docents, exploring the nuances and stories behind some of NMOA’s most cherished artworks.
At this Member Experience, docents Judi Robinson and Linda Peoples Thomas will guide members on an exploration of items in our collection that reflect images and ideas which have been hidden in plain sight. Join us as we contemplate the connections between Juneteenth and The Ballantine House installation, Stay: The Black Women of 19th-Century Newark, and artworks in the Seeing America: 18th–19th Century galleries.
An 11am tour is also available.
Location: North Wing and The Ballantine House
Registration is required.
