Have you ever wondered what a work of art is trying to say?

In this new take on member experiences, you will be guided in artful conversation by one of our expert docents to uncover what lies beneath the surface of some of the NMOA’s most beloved pieces of art.

This week, Yeonsoo Son, a NMOA docent, will guide you through a brief history of Korean art and culture. Together you will discuss the differences and similarities with neighboring China and Japan, as well as art/craft objects created by women in Korea.

Yeonsoo will present examples of Korean traditional dress, accessories, and household items in this multi-sensory session.
