52nd Teen Arts Annual 2023

The Newark Museum of Art is excited to continue its collaboration with the Newark Board of Education and the Office of Visual & Performing Arts to present the 52nd Teen Arts Annual.

This year, the exhibit and opening event will feature artwork and performances by students in grades 9-12, centered around the theme “The Evidence of Who I Am.” Using inspiration from selected artworks from our American Art collection in the Seeing America galleries, consideration is given to ideas about self-identity, family, community, and cultural identity in a historical perspective.

The opening event will take place on March 23 from 4 to 7pm:

4pm – Exhibition opens (Large Program Hall)
5pm – Award ceremony (Auditorium)
5:30pm – Reception (Engelhard Court)
