Contemporary Craft: A Newark Museum of Art Sampler showcases furniture, silver, ceramics, and glass created in the past 40 years.

These objects include both functional and decorative studio works and demonstrate the diversity of the artists in the Museum’s landmark collection of American craft. Highlights include artworks by Native American artists – Christine Nofchissey McHorse, Virgil Ortiz, and Preston Singletary; African American artists – Gerry Gant, Michael Puryear, and Tony Whitfield; and New Jersey’s studio artists, including Ubaldo Vitali and Paul Stankard.
