Visibility matters, especially for artists of color, who are often underrepresented in museum collections.

The Latinx community is the second largest in Newark, and NMOA’s desire to reflect the community we serve is the leading drive behind our programs and exhibitions. For National Hispanic Heritage Month, we are highlighting works created by Latinx creators from our talented community.
