Join us as we come together to celebrate the life, vision, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

A celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, his teachings of social justice, and service to the community. This year’s Community Day features uplifting performances, hands-on activities, and opportunities to help others. There’s something for the whole family!

Visitors are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to support a local food bank, women’s shelter, or church.

  • St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center– Animal health benefits and food & clothing supplies
  • Expanding Health workshops- Participants will learn about the benefits, properties and energies of six different medicinal herbs and participants will learn about the different properties of herbs that can be infused into honey.

  • University Hospital – Blood pressure and glucose testing
  • Rutgers Sight Savers – Testing to detect eye diseases
  • EMS – Bystander CPR and Stop the Bleed training
  • ICC – Expungement Clinic
  • Zufall Health – resource table

  • Family Success Center – Assisting the homeless, low income and unemployed with basic needs and support (child-care issues, housing issues, find appropriate housing and receiving referrals for section 8, temporary shelter, heat and utility assistance.)
