Timeline of Activities 

11:30am & 1:30pm | Celebrate Black History Month with a performance by NJTAP

New Jersey Tap Dance Ensemble’s mission is to preserve and promote the American art form of rhythm tap dancing. NJTAP is a nonprofit professional tap dance company founded by Deborah Mitchell.

12pm & 2pm | Planetarium Show: Lucia, The Secret of Shooting Stars

Appropriate for ages 5-12. 
Travel to the Moon, the asteroid belt, and a comet nucleus with Vladimir, James, and Lucia as they search for answers to the mystery of the “stones of light”.

12-12:45pm | Creative Play: Musical Vibrations

Appropriate for ages 3-5.

Explore sound and vibrations as you make your own harmonica!

1pm & 3pm | Planetarium Show: Seven Wonders

Appropriate for ages 12+.
Explore seven of the ancient wonders of the world as they appeared thousands of years ago and embark on a voyage beyond Earth to explore wonders of our Universe.

1-4pm | Science Drop-In: Vibrobots!

Appropriate for ages 5-12 and families.
Location: Engelhard Court

Build a fun, little robot from household supplies that are powered by vibrating motors. Will your robot skitter? Spin in circles? The choice is up to you!

1-4pm | Family Drop-In: Harlem Renaissance

Appropriate for ages 5-12 and families.
Location: Engelhard Court

This Black History Month we honor the Harlem Renaissance and its creative energy. Try your hand at relief prints celebrating artists from that time.
