Timeline of Activities
11-11:45am | Creative Play: Color, Color Everywhere
Appropriate for ages 3-5.
Location: Engelhard Court
Children will discover and deepen their understanding of primary and secondary colors. Using The Newark Museum of Art’s diverse collection, we’ll explore the galleries and conclude with a hands-on activity.
12pm & 2pm | Planetarium Show: Molecularium
Appropriate for ages 4+
Follow a cast of characters on a magical, musical adventure as they move throughout the Universe. Wonder at views of matter on both human and molecular levels and learn about atoms and molecules that make up our world.
12:30pm | John Bundy Marionettes
The John Bundy Marionettes bring a fast-paced, high-energy variety show that’s pure fun for all ages! Featuring a lively cast of beautifully handcrafted puppets, this show is packed with creativity and excitement. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how marionettes work, learn to make your own puppets from household items, and even have a chance to become a puppeteer! It’s an unforgettable experience that will leave you smiling long after the show ends.
1pm & 3pm | Planetarium Show: Out There: The Search for Extrasolar Planets
Appropriate for ages 12+
Join us on a journey of discovery with the world’s most powerful telescopes. Explore the huge diversity of different worlds orbiting other stars in our galaxy and imagine what lies beyond!
1-4pm | Family Drop-In
Appropriate for ages 5-12 and families.
