Timeline of Activities
10am-5pm – MakerSPACE (for kids of all ages)
Mezzanine Level, South Wing
A fun interactive area where kids play, tinker, and create.
1:30pm & 2:30pm – The Zula Patrol: Under the Weather Planetarium Show (for kids ages 5-12 and families)
3:30pm – Stars of the Pharaohs Planetarium Show (for kids ages 12+)
1–4pm – Science Drop-In:
- Thursday, July 13 – Cubelet Challenge: Robotics in a snap! Learn about robots as you piece together different components to make your own creation!
- Friday, July 14 – Make a Kite: Participants work with various materials used in kite-making to build their own kite.
- Saturday, July 15 – Cubelet Challenge: Robotics in a snap! Learn about robots as you piece together different components to make your own creation!
- Thursday, July 20 – Mars Rovers: Role-play as mission control or a robotic rover to complete an exploratory mission on the “surface of Mars.”
- Friday, July 21 – Squishy Circuits: Explore electrical circuits using conductive and insulating materials.
- Saturday, July 22 – Mars Rovers: Role-play as mission control or a robotic rover to complete an exploratory mission on the “surface of Mars.”
- Thursday, July 27 – Design, Build & Test: Imagine, draw, and build your own simple model spacecraft. Then put your model through a series of tests to see if your creation is space-ready!
- Friday, July 28 – Rocks and Minerals Match Up: Can you match the rocks and minerals to their descriptions using clues and observation?
