Winter Holidays at The Ballantine House
Step back in time and celebrate the spirit of the season at The Ballantine House, where the Ballantine family observed Christmas from 1885 to 1919. For the first time since 2019, we invite you to experience 19th-century holiday traditions with exquisite decorations and faux food adorning the first floor. Discover new installations showcasing holiday cards and ornaments on the second floor.
Join our exclusive Members Only tour to explore the bedrooms and study of the teenage Ballantine sons, John H. and Robert D. Learn about their sister, Alice, who later resided on the third floor with her family and mother, Jeannette. The tour features historic photographs of Alice’s eldest son celebrating Christmas in the Trustees Room, alongside cherished memories of Alice, John, and Robert.
This special Members Only Tour is available from November 21, 2024, through January 4, 2025.* Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the holiday magic in this remarkable historic home—register now!
