Enjoy a day of fun activities for the whole family at The Newark Museum of Art.

Timeline of Activities 

10am-5pm – MakerSPACE (for kids of all ages)
Mezzanine Level, South Wing

A fun interactive area where kids play, tinker, and create.

11-11:30am –Perfect Little Planet Planetarium Show (Great for families with kids 5-12)
Duration: 25 minutes

12-12:45pm – Creative Play: Color Mania (for kids ages 3-5)
Court & Galleries, Main Building

Children will be introduced to primary and secondary colors using The Newark Museum of Art’s collection. The program begins promptly at Noon.

1-4pm – Family Drop-In: Back to School (for kids ages 5-10)
Design your own back-to-school pencil case using Tyvek® material and duct tape.

2-2:30pm – Perfect Little Planet  Planetarium Show (Great for families with kids 5-12) Duration: 25 minutes

3-3:30pm – Tales of the Maya Skies  Planetarium Show (Great for families with kids ages 12 and up, and individual adults.) Duration: 35 minutes
