The Alice and Leonard Dreyfuss Planetarium is a spectacular, interactive theater for learning about astronomy, space, and planetary science.

Legends of the Night Sky: Orion – 12pm & 2pm (duration: 25 minutes)

Explore the myths and legends of one of the most visible constellations in our winter night sky – Orion, the Hunter. Greek mythology will never seem the same once you’ve seen this fun-filled, animated production. Great for families with kids ages 6+.

The Empathics: Hybrid Cosmology – 1pm & 1:30pm (duration: 10 minutes)

Created by artist Saya Woolfalk in 2012, this full dome experience reveals the world of the Empathics, fictional futuristic beings who time-travel and shape-shift across the multiverse. Great for families with kids ages 12+. 

Experience the Aurora3pm (duration: 30 minutes)

See nature’s most stunning light show as you watch the winter sky come to life before your eyes. This immersive show, filmed over seven months in the Arctic Circle, shares the science and spectacular views of the northern lights. Great for families with kids ages 12+.

Planetarium Rules

The planetarium is running at full capacity (50 people max per show) on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the show. Programs begin promptly and latecomers will not be admitted. No exceptions.

Food and drink are not allowed in the theater.

For safety reasons, no re-entry will be allowed once the show starts.
